LS3 block + ported 243's + MTI X1 in a truck???
Im looking at an engine to drop into an '01 RCSB Chevy but Im not sure if this is a good combo for a truck. Im getting a pretty good deal on this long block but I wanted to see what it should put down. The guy told me it should put down 360rwhp which sounds a bit low considering I've seen that X1 pull over 400 in an F-body. IMO it should be closer to 415-430 rwhp with supporting mods. Anyone think it would be a good setup for a heavier vehicle like a truck or should I drop it in the 94Z ?
Here's the info on the engine + mods on the truck:
LS3 block (stock)
Stage 2 LS6 heads (Patriot I guess)
MTI X1
6.0L Truck intake
Pacesetter LT's
K&N CAI
Custom tuning

Im sure I could sell the ported 243 and pick up a set of L92's along with the L76 intake or can I reuse the truck manifold? I've seen great #'s from the L92's but Im still debating on whether or not to purchase the engine. Any ideas what it might dyno as is?
