427ci LS7
12:1 compression
Katech forged pistons, 2618 material
Solid bronze connecting rod bushings
DLC coated pins
Piston squirters
Camshaft - Torquer LS7 but on a 116LSA (a little milder)
C5-R timing chain
Head studs/main studs
Katech rod bolts
FAST 65 lb injectors

Later:
Carbon fiber valve covers
Coil relocation kit
Katech belt tensioner
New clutch

Then later this spring:
FAST LSXR manfold

Katech 12:1 pistons


Degreeing the cam with Cam Logic



A good view of the piston squirters




ARP main studs, Katech rod bolts and rebushed connecting rods


FAST 65 lb/hr injectors to handle the increased fuel demands of E85 and the increased horsepower

quick question. why use a cam tool to degree it. can your just use the sets on the chain gears?

Because Katech builds motors properly. Using the timing chain gears is notorious for being very inaccurate, and can be off a few degrees at best.

Well, it doesn't have an adjustable cam sprocket. I wouldn't trust that anyways. Using cam logic is the professional way to do it.

Thats a fancy bit of gear, I just use a degree wheel and adjustable timing sprockets.

I understand how the Cam Logic obtains the readings for the degree portion, but how will it change how the cam is degreed in with no adjustable timing setup??

Pull the pin in the cam and adjust the stock sprocket.

When we get the FAST 102mm manifold I expect at LEAST 630hp.
