Sorry to hijack this thread and pretty much change the subject but I didn't feel like starting a new thread for this.
Here is something that I want to hear some discussion on. It seems like there are alot of people out there now that seem to be capable of hitting 500rwhp out of a N/A 346 and it drives just fine. Yet there are people here building up 418 and 427's and they only hit 550rwhp what the hell is up with that? Why does it seem some people are spending alot of cash on a stroker build and it barely makes more hp then a 346? If I was spending all of that money on a stroker I would want it to well out perform the 346 I just ditched not by 50rwhp...
Am I missing something is it very common for 427 to hit 650rwhp N/A because it doesn't seem like it...
rant/question
thanks for the help guys.
I'm working on a 416 build right now. Coming from a h/c 364. I'd be more than happy with 50+whp/tq going to the 416 if I can have the same street manners I had before.
I guess a better translation would be this.
346 heads/cam, good traction and elevation 500rwhp car- ET = ?
402 Built stroker, same driver car and elevation as before 520rwhp- ET= ?
427 Built stroker, same driver car and elevation as before 550rwhp- ET= ?
