LS3 Swap/Cam choice???

So, the motor on the T/A has, uh, expired.

I have a line on an inexpensive LS3 with about 9k miles. I'm going to swap the LS1 out for the LS3 and put a cam in it and am looking for suggestions for size. I will not be porting the heads at the moment, but eventually will be. Its a semi-daily driver, so i just don't want something that will die at idle. It'll probably have some Pacesetter LT's on it too.

What do you all think? Any cam suggestions or testimonials??

PM patrick g. He specs out custom cams and he knows what he is doing. I will be contacting him shortly for my new cam. I was able to ride in his old car and it was amazing!

228/232 114 is a very proven cam for the LS3 with headers. 224/228 114 is a tad milder and touch more torque.

Comp has an "LSR" LS3 cam with the new LSL lobes that are becoming popular...

219/235 .607/.621 113 (#146-456-11) Seems right in line for a street driven vehicle.
