LS3 cams in 5.3 engine?

LS3 cams in 5.3 engine? Would the cam work? im planing on doing a lsx swap in my stingray and ive been scowering the web for an engine (cant find a good priced one) but it seem like ill be most likly going with a 5.3 Lq4 or the 6.0. I came upon one of these LS3 cam for a good price what are the power gains would i be lookin at if any at all. My main goal is 505whp supercharged. so i want to keep the compression low.
what do you think?

if u are goin for SC 500whp id opt for a LQ4 and figure out what supercharger ur gonna use and then get back to us with all ur info and we can help u pick out a specific cam...y are u stuck on getting a used cam? especially a stock used cam?

re grinds on ebay for $115, i've run a handful of them with no problems ever. Theres several to choose from. That way you get a NEW smallER cam. THey even have ls6 copies, and you pick 112,114, or 116 LSA.

I'm thinking that you're meaning LM7?? Or did you end up finding a 6.0 (lq4)?? Either way, good engines. I'm currently waiting for a cam out of a 2004 z06 to arrive to install in my turbo 5.3 project...until I finish my lq4 build. The 5.3 has been proven to be quite a fun little engine with boost. I'm just upgrading cam/retainers/springs on mine...then going to make it eat roughly 10 psi If this is what you're planning on doing, then I'm sure you'll have a fun ride when it's all done

I just dont wanna drop the tranny again in 8 or 9 months when i get the supercharger on there.
what do you recommend i should do? i was gonna by a 3000stall converter and a shift kit from B&M.
flt is finish line transmissions. If you want to stay automatic, get a 4l80e out of a 2500 pickup. They have held up to 600 hp easily with nothing but a transgo hd2 shift kit. The 60e wont live very long at all at 500 whp. just get a 80e and be done with it. And my cousins 99 s10 5.3 made 320 hp to the wheels with a $115 zo6 regrind as stated above

your cousins struck sounds good......i think ill go with that z06 cam. did he have to do any other upgrades or did i slide right in no issues
