You made sure the Gear coming out of the Cam is turning the opti spark eh ? Its funny a friend of mine did a cam swap and he forgot to seat the gear into the optispark so it wasn't turning the distribitor lol. Good luck man !

I once had a similar problem with an LT1 car and it turned out to be a bad ground. Where the ground bolts to the cylinder head near the coil was the problem if I recall.
