ls2 running issues

ls2 running issues i just had a cam,headers and tune done on my gto and its acting up.when i first picked up the car the temp gauge went straight to red on the gauge and the overheat alarm went off.i turned the car off right away and then started it again and the gauge returned to normal..i drove the car a day later and everything seemed fine until tonight when the temp gauge and alarm went off again,but now the overheat alarm wont stop and the check engine light has come on..my question is can a bad tune cause this problem?

There are many things that can cause this. A really bad tune could be one of them.
It's hard to mess up a tune that bad. I would have someone look to see if there is an air pocket in the cooling system. If they didn't get all the air out this could be causing your problem.
