Default Anyone have any results with Comp Cams LSR lobes for LS3?

Seems these LSR cams from Comp are pretty new and nobody has tried that many of them. I did a search but couldn't find what I was looking for.

I was wondering if anyone has tried the 231/247 .617/.624 113LSA, and if you had any dyno/track results from it.

I plan on getting this cam for my LS3, it's a weekend car so I can deal with some low end driveability issues but I just didn't want that thing surging or bucking during highway cruise.

It sounds like a promising cam, so I'm willing to give it a try regardless, just curious to see if anyone out there has even ran it yet.

I am running one right now and I love it. Gobs of power and very good tune in it. Great driveability I must say. It is a tad bit bigger then the one in question above though......................................

The tune will determine how well it drives...

Way too big of a cam for an LS3. That's more of a cam for a 416. I have spec'd over 200 cams with LSL/LSR lobes. They are the most advance hydraulic roller lobe available to the general public. Comp spent months perfecting their design. They are ideal for LS3s. Anything bigger than a 227/235 .614/.621" 114LSA will require flycutting valve reliefs in your pistons, plus there are diminishing returns going any bigger than this anyway.

I just dropped in a mild LSR cam into my setup. 6.0L LQ9, Lingenfelter CNC LS3 heads..etc. I went with the 219/235 .607/.621 113+5.

I LOVE IT..
Sounds perfect, pulls like a freight train, yet still managable like I wanted, although yours will be a little more radical, but I think its too big.

I did read an article in hot rod testing an LSR cam. Here is their dyno results with the. 227/235 .614/.621 113LSA

I can help you a lot on this. I have extensive engine dyno testing with camshafts on our engine dyno test mule LS3. I can promise you the exhaust will hit on that camshaft. I have a pretty big list of camshafts we've tested on the mule motor. Get your data on goals together & give me a call. I can help you spec a camshaft that will meet your goals & clear p/v. I have camshafts here making anywhere from 60hp gains to 110hp gains over the stock LS3.
