Default 6.2 Denali cam suggestions

I have an 08 Denali w/ Magnaflow exhaust, K&N, and I've done some tuning on it w/ HPTuners. Truck runs good but I'm looking for more. I'm probably going to install some LT headers and I'm thinking about a cam swap.
My question is where should I get my cam? The only manufacturers I'm familiar with right now are Comp and Mast for VVT cams. Also should I keep the VVT or just go with a non VVT cam?
On a side note, is my trans going to be up to handling this extra power? Is there anything I can do to help it survive?
Any input is appreciated.

keep the VVT, you need the low-end to haul that big, massive thing around. Getting a standard cam will murder your low-end unless you get a cam made specifically for good low-end. Grab a comp VVT cam and enjoy having both great low-end (having your cake) and an insane high-end (and eating it too).

For god sakes keep the VVT. Ask pat G to spec you a cam, he is working wonders with EPS lobes and VVT creating awesome under the curve power and great peak also.

What is AFM? Is it like DOD? If so, I don't have it. I most likely will keep the VVT. From what I've read it allows you to keep or in some cases increase your low end torque with a cam swap. I've been looking at the larger of the two Comp VVT cams. I read an article where they gained 69 HP and 15+lb on a stock headed motor with the larger Comp grind. Some impressive gains from a cam swap.

Can you provide a link to Comps VVT cams? I've been on their site and can not find it. Thanks.
