Default symptoms of an improperly degreed cam

Well a friend of mine just got a small-med sized cam (232/246 114LSA .650 lift) installed on his 11.4:1 CR 427 C6 Z06

While the car seems to idle perfectly, drivability is out the window, and my other Z with a 230/250 113 cam drives MUCH smoother.

I dont know what are the symptoms of a bad degreeing on the cam would be, but id like to know. If I rule out it being a mechanical issue, ill start working on the tune, I do have a lot of things that should smooth it out.

Thx in advance.

Sounds more tune related to me. If it is degreed wrong power may be off and the powerband will not be where it is supposed to be.

I have installed seven cams in f-bodies and never degreed any cam at all. Sounds like a tune is needed.

Im hoping it is, because ill have to work on that, as opposed to suspecting a bad install on the cam.

Well see, tuning it in a few hours.
