I don't think he knows what he's getting into. The rear end in our cars won't hold that much power they are already blowing them up in australia with less. Usually in the 700-800 range...There are no aftermarket companies making diffs for our cars.
To even come close you would be looking at a $1000+ driveshaft hendrix or someone else is making them can't remember... ours is weak and people are having failures at my power level already. Ours is the weak two piece with the rubber coupler.

a $2500 build on the trans to beef it up from rossler is what I was quoted thats good to over 1000hp.

You'll need new engine mounts ours will shred pfadt has some not sure on price.

You will need bmr trailing arms and all new bushings throughout the car or you will wheel hop bad.

You'll need a custom fuel system there are a couple of twin in tank setups being prototyped now, but nothing is ready yet.

Next problem is you will need CCW to custom make you some rims as there is nothing in the market that will fit a wide enough tire with our weird offsets in the rear.

You will have to put $20000-25000 minimum into our $30,000 car to even think about hitting 1000rwhp and not totally blowing your driveline to pieces...

If you have that kind of budget I applaud you... I'm simply looking at a 440 sleeved stroker setup or a maggie setup and be happy with my 550-600hp...

you are giong with a 550-600hp without changing the fuel pump or the rear end

my bad... our stock lsd's are 8.3" I believe the gto's were smaller so we might be able to hold more power...

yes 550 is about the max with a BAP if you are going FI... NA will go that without the BAP

Rear end will hold that hp fine... I'd be more worried about the driveshaft than the rear end at that power level.

The rear end could hold 800whp without a problem ????

our tranny could hold 500RWHP without a problem more than that you need to upgrade it

I said the current rear end could hold 550hp w/o a problem and already is on several FI cars.

Common belief so far is the trans will hold around 500-550hp in our g8's with no issues with a few trips to the strip... In corvettes the 6l80 has broken around 700rwhp for sure as one guy that livernois built a FI setup on had it blow up after months of racing it at the strip. Keep in mind though our cars weigh about 800+lbs more than a vette so I'm sure our breaking point will be a little lower in the hp range.

Is there some mods for our tranny so it could hold more power or NOT YET

Rossler Transmissions quoted $2395 for a full build capable of 1000hp+ at least in a vette... they have several running a trans built by them... again our car is heavier and more of a load on everything.

I think rpm will build up the clutches for 1395, but I don't know how proven their build is yet.

So we need to wait to get some good prices and choices

Honestly if you are even thinking about 1000hp you shouldn't even flinch at those prices compared to what you are going to spend on everything to make that kind of power...

You have to keep in mind its a relatively new 6 speed not a tried and true 4 speed trans that people have been running for years. With more time more companies will come into play and they will figure out what breaks and hopefully the price will come down some.
