Morel link bar solid roller lifters, T&D roller rockers, billet camshaft. We couldn't lash the valves and that's when we pulled the pushrods and discovered the different sizes at which point I just about **** myself. Im surprised it ran as long as it did.

I think this is in part to the non-adjustable valvetrain. Old school cams - and current solid rollers - MUST have the exact length pushrod to work correctly. My guess is that with a non-adjustable valvetrain, someone thought that all the lash/slack was taken out and it didn't matter much if there was .060 difference. Put 'em back together and see if they don't all snug down to the point where they depress the plunger a bit...
"Hell, that one's good, send me the next one"...

^ I am pretty sure TD only makes adjustable rockers for the LS series of engines. He mentions trying to set the lash, but was having issues. That's when they discovered the pushrods being out of whack.

The different length push rods had nothing to do with the parts failure the spring coil binding did. Do they all have the same part # or length on them i see something in the pic but can't make it out.
