Need help with engine diagnosis... HYUNDAI FTL Ok so I need some help with my beater car, an 02 Hyundai Accent, 1.6 DOHC. I know its not an LSX, but the same principles will apply here and I know this site is very helpful.
Here are the facts:
There is a lot of water in the oil.
There is definately exhaust in the coolant. Quite a bit actually.
The car will overheat after about 20 mins of driving, and the higher the rpm, the worse it is.
There is no noticable coolant in the exhaust, only the other way around. No white steam in the exhaust, and it smells normal.
The car idles rough, but runs PERFECT above 1200 rpm.
I pulled the head. The gasket is fine and I don't see any noticeable cracks in the head. The cylinder walls are fine also. Also, when I pulled the head, some bolts were tight, but not as much as the others. Nothing that would cause this. Any ideas? Warped head maybe?
