Default goat truck motor swap

im concerned about reluctor...the goat is a 05 i believe that blew up...i found an 08 yukon 6.0 for it but does this new motor have the differant reluctor that wont work?

The 08 will have the 58x tooth reluctor wheel and the 4X cam gear. To make it work with a 24x computer you will need to change the top gear to a 1x and get a 3 bolt cam, as that one may be a single bolt and either change the wheel on the crank or get the lingenfelter converter box. you might want to watch out on that truck engine though. it may have the VVT and DOD, so make sure to look it over first. run the vin if necessary to confirm. its not a huge problem to make it a standard engine, but it will cost a good amount.

I believe that the '05-'06 GTO's had the 58x reluctor wheel also.

nope. they all have 24. ALL. they share the same crank pn as the 05 24x vette. gm doesnt show the pn for the reluctor wheel on the cranks as they are sold as an entire unit. They are avail separately but gm does not list them like that. all GTOs were 24.
