670 crank closer to 600 @ the wheels, and honstely from what I've been Reading I think the biggest issues is getting the air it would need to it.... Imma need hella heads and intake. at this point I will try to find the biggest flowing heads I can get and use the F.A.S.T. 102 and see what I can get.

We offer something in this range. Our Eliminator LS2 460 and it will handle a 200 shot.

We can substitute the TFS 245's for All Pro's and Jesel rockers 8000 rpms is not an issue.

My friend is selling a 440ci LS7 resleeved block with TFS 235cc heads, ported FAST 92mm intake. Redline is 7100rpm and shift points are in the 6600-6800rpm range. It made 600rwhp n/a on 91 octane and recently went 196mph at the TX Mile in a little Mazda RX-7. Has around 1K miles on it.

Stick with a hydraulic roller cam which is pretty much set it and forget it.... meaning no valve adjustments. When you shoot for 7500rpm+ or so.... you are looking at less reliability in the long term, a solid roller cam to control the valves the best $$$$$, which also requires valve adjustments every few thousand miles.

If you are serious and want to save yourself the time/effort and some money in the process contact him. Mas280 is his username. He is going with a turbo LS3 now. You wouldn't be able to build it cheaper yourself plus this is a proven setup.

Why the focus on n/a and RPM (Ruins Peoples Motors)?

Would be a lot easier and cheaper with a small blower...

Had a 8000k rpm 355 sbc a couple years ago. Street drove it...regularly broke what comp claimed were their "best" springs for my application. I was using a callies crank that had been severly lightened, and eagle rods. Would not do it again.

Well he doesn't need a blower for what he wants to do or 8000 rpms either.
Our 460 hydraulic with a 7200 rpm rev limit. We can build it as a solid roller to 10,000 rpms but there is no need to in this case. 600+ RWHP on pump gas

Stock LS3 with a blower and bolt ons. You are correct about getting the air flow with the stock or fast manifolds.

Cary 2 piece single plane intake manifold, PI LS7 heads, 12.5:1 compression, solid roller cam, jesel rockers, 427+ should be a pretty easy 700rwhp. Plan on changing valve springs out fairly often. Guys have made 1000+ hp with n/a 355 small block chevy's. No reason a 7000-8000 rpm 427 can't make 700-800 hp.

Why no engine swaps? If you have a low mileage LS3 in it right now, I'd sell it and get a LS7 to save yourself the trouble of resleeving your block, with a cam, headers, Fast intake and tune you should be sitting pretty close to that (?) with a really damn reliable engine, vs something you'll have to rebuild in 50k...

BTW, It sounds like specifically wanting 600hp+ and 7k to 8k rpm is an ego thing to me. Specially if your saying you want to road race it, then mention wanting nitrous. If its a street car and your wanting something fast, I'd go forced induction.

I don't mean to sound harsh, but you can spend a lot of money on a lightweight race engine for the street that won't last very long... seems kinda silly to me if it's not really a track car.

I raced most of the summer(three days a week 5-10runs a night), only issue was some slight blow by(which was expected, would pop dip stick no oil would come out though) PCV was stock with an catch did an drysump(A.R.E.) & PCV vents on each Valve cover. Permanently fixed the blow by issue and picked up some hp after an retune although this could have been do it 50 degree iat's lol

All this is done on e-85 fuel

Looking to do itb's over the summer depending how much i can pull in.

I should be able to safely run an up to an 300 shot but to be honest i'm an ***** and i really don't even spray that much to begin with if some wants to race for big money i'll think about it. but i only like racing street looking cars i don't mind drag radials hell i run HA6's (315/30ZR19), but drag cars should be at the strip

Other plans include a full belly pan& roll cage, possible low boost but thats at least two or so years away

I think his goals are somewhat optimistic at best. He doesn't want a drag engine. He wants a roadraced on the weekends. I think he'd be better off doing a turbo eng. Just easier to meet his " goals"
