Default 68 Camaro with LS2 L92/L76

I can tell you exactly what it cost to put an LS2 in a 68 camaro. If you are planning on just installing the engine you will need to change your fuel system etc

I physically cc'd everything in this exact setup, the entire thing and came up with 9.14:1

Take word for it buy new water pump and cooling fans, I have good luck with the rest of the parts used so far.

Of course you will need a good tuner, I finally can start the car without it popping do to the reversed wiring, but it starts and wants to die unless I keep my foot on the gas. It stills stumbles when the car idles down at a stop signs like it wants to die it usually stays running though.
Thanks man...but I already have an ls2 in the 68, and i know how much it costs unfortunatly haha. I just put this thread up for info on putting a l92/l76 set up on the ls2. But got a build thread anywhere? I'd like to check out the ride, also did you fab that intake yourself?

Nice car and swap Layton

I will try to minimize hi-jacking this thread but I'm going to throw a new LS2 shortblock with AFR 205s in my 69 camaro. However, I'm wanting to put a Carb. style intake on with a 4150 style TB and a chrome air cleaner on top. Then run a real clean fuel rail on each side. Also I will hide the coil packs and put some nice Chevrolet valve covers on her. I'm looking for the sbc look without sacrificing performance. I don't see anybody doing this. Will it not fit under the hood? My tuner tunes with SD so no MAF to worry about. Any insight? Thanks first gen guys!

You are probably referrring to this:

Description:

The Edelbrock Victor JR EFI LS1 intake manifold. It is shorter than the Super Victor and should have a better shot at clearing the hood.

Default Couple of questions...

1) Does anyone know exactly where to drill and tap the (2) 10mm x 1.5 holes for the LS1 knock sensors if using a LS1 wire harness?

2) LS2 head bolts to be used? (I know the LS3/L92 4.065" head gaskets are needed)
