Question Interchangeable rotating assemblies

I am sure that I read somewhere on here that the cranks from the 5.3, 6.0 and 6.2 are all the same, but are the rods and pistons (bore) the same? I have a LQ4 and am in need of a crank and rods.

Thanks guys!

Yeah, I am sure the pistons will be different in regards to bore and -/+cc, I am not sure about the rods.

Now that I can find it to post, lol, I did read that the rods, like the crank, are the same. The pistons are of course different due to bore and dish.

Rods are different as well. Newer engines use a rod with a bronze bushing in the small end, allowing a floating pin. Older engines didn't have this bushing, and used a press fit pin, which takes longer to assemble/disassemble. Dimensions are the same, and either style will work just fine.

I bought them from a guy here in Houston for $75. I plan on keeping these, for now. Once my bank account recovers from the holidays, I think I'm gonna build something for my little T/A.

Cool no problem, am sure that there are some floating around here, lol. What are you looking to build? There have been some nice short block that have come up for sale lately, but sadly I don't have the cheese right now. I have been thinking of picking up something already built from a member vs build so to save. There are always plenty of 408's to choose from around here.
