SUPPLIERS of SHORT BLOCK for BOOST

Hi all, looking through the maze of people and suppliers of LS short and long blocks is migrane material. In addition i am also from Australia so my extended knowledge of local GOOD suppliers is somewhat limitted.

My question, who are the shops/people i should talk to in regards to a short/long block for my TT set up. Potenually looking at LS2/LQ9 408-414 with forged rotating essembly?

It is hard as i have heard locally and had advice not purchase through certian companies, so you direction would be appreciated.

Thus far looking at
texas speed LQ9 408 for $3800
Schwanke LS2 415 $4489
Golen engines LQ9 408 $4999

The key in comparing different companies is first to make sure all parts are the same - ie pistons, rods, crank, block etc. For long block, what are heads and who ported them. After you get components identical, I suspect most suppliers pricing will be reasonably close. Recommend you determine what you want first, then shop for price, quality and reputation from suppliers.

We offer HKE precision racing engines. Our 408 for boost start at $4675 but it really depends on the amount of boost and application. I sent a pm. Here are some comments about HKE engines
