OK my bad but if your going to re sleeve why not start with an LSA bare block. It has the provisions for the piston squirters.

Isnt the LSA, LS9, and LS3 use the same block with the same squirters?


To the OP:
Do a resleeved LS3 with a 4.125 x 4.125 thats a 1 : 1 bore to stroke ratio. Perfect motor and be done with it.

Also from a little research the LS3 is slightly stronger than the LS7 because the sleeves are cast into the block unlike the LS7 block. I stand corrected.

that's a great question.. I just thought of the LSA today, but I'm not sure if the stroke will interfear with the squirters. I do know the sleeves would have to be notched for the squirters.

So if they would work then an LSA block would be best.. if not then a used LS2/LS3 block would be best.

The LS3 block doesn't have the squirters.. as far as I know the LSA and LS9 are the same block.

I think, with my pan, I would be better with a 4" stroke and a slighly bigger bore.
