Default LS7 Conversion

Alright, i have a 2000 SS camaro, got a good deal on a LS7 out of a 2007 Z06, i have done alitte reaserch on it and so far i haven't really learned anything, i know with moving the battery to the back you can keep the dry sump and stock motor mounts will also work, but i'm trying to make a list of everything i need, as of i now i know i need a k-member and wiring harness, but im not sure were to even start with the wiring harness since im wanting to keep the automatic transmission. So i need some help with making this list so that everything will work right, thanks alot for you help!

You need a Custom K-member to fit the Oil Pan?

Your Wiring Harness with work, you will just need to extend/move some things, aswell as get the Box from Katech(I believe they make it) so the LS1 PCM will work with the 58X Crank.

Me personally if I got ahold of a LS7 would tear it down, convert it to standard Wet Sump, and run the Crank I have in it. That's just me though.

That's the stock Crank in the LS7..it has a 58X Reluctor Wheel on it. That is what the Crank Sensor reads. Everything '04 back has a 24X.

I am with The Merv. I would change it over to a wet sump system.

I agree. I'd pull the motor down, either change the crank or have the current crank snout cut down, change the reluctor wheel, and run it with the computer and pan you have.

If you can afford it, I'd change the pistons, valve springs, and exhaust valves.

Definately change the Valve Springs..them things are a fail from the Factory..like .600 max lift, and that Cam is a .595..someone was cuttin corners there..lol

I'd get the kit TSP sells..Chromeoly Pushrods and the PRC 660 Spring Kit.
