Overbored Piston Sizes?
#3
How much does your block need to clean-up? Are you needing a flat-top or some dish? We can get you into a variety of pistons depending on your needs. Some are 4.065", 4.070", 4.080", 4.100" etc depending on the application!

The block has some pitting in one cylinder due to water setting. It will need some boring, how much is yet to be determined. I'll be going with a 4.0" stroke whenever the final bore is known. So, somewhere around 1.12" compression height?
If it makes the difference between, say, +0.005" and +0.015" over, can I get by with a few "pits" remaining after the bore job? My factory liners aren't perfectly centered. Would a few of these pits ruin the rings or create excessive blow-by?

You have shelf pistons and then you have custom pistons. You can have any size made that you need so there is alway a piston to fit. It's how much it takes to clean it up at this point and then you can determin what your options are for a piston. Also need to know what stroke your using?

Russ,
I can get any shelf stock piston in any bore you like. Don't be concerned. Just try to get to the next nominal size 4.070",.080", etc... They are all available in the compression heights necessary for your build.
Thanks,
Shane
