Crate engine arriving, advice pls
Hi all I'm new on here. I have recently bought a second hand but new unused LS3 crate engine. I'm planning to do an engine transplant into my Bmw Z3M. The engine is being delivered Friday and I just want any advice you may have before I hand over the cash.
Where is the engine part number displayed? Clearly I need to be sure it's a genuine Ls3 with the correct part number. What part number should it have?
Photos of the engine show port seals fitted. The engine also has a clutch fitted, which I thought was not included with a crate engine. There are no headers fitted, just seals over the ports - is this normal. The seller says it's being sold due to an abandoned project and is 3 months old. I have taken a little risk but saved lots on the new purchase price in UK.
