Default 550+ cam only LS7
Just as the title says, I know that 550+rwhp is possible in a cam only LS7. But how attainable is it? From what I saw, there are only a few venders out there that have done it repeatedly. Which shops are doing this day in and day out?

it's actually fairly easy.We've done a couple of them.I think the best so far was 569,but there is more to be had depending on how the customer wants it to drive

We've done many 550 cam only setups on LS7's. I actually have an LS7 headed 408 here making 557 through a stock LS7 intake and NW90. PM me if you're interested in some cam specs.

Like Shawn said, it's pretty easy to do, but all depends how good you want it to drive and that somewhat depends on who's tuning the car. Our LS7S cam has done it repeatedly, and offers very good manners when properly tuned (242/250 duration @.050").

you need about a 245 duration cam and it's not hard to do

I don't think you need to be so aggressive. We've done it with low 230's duration on the intake lobe. The 408 I mentioned has a 231* intake lobe.

It is very easy to get to. Our Lethal Cam cam have excellent drivability and normally dynoes 540-555. We also have our new Punisher Cam the is dynoing 557-570 cam an producing a ton of torque. There will be some surge below 1500, but it is a great cam overall.

True cam only no but with minor bolt ons yes.
We did our ls7-3 cam in a 2006 Z06 a few weeks ago. Low 240 intake duration.
MODS
Callaway Honker
Ported TB not intake.
Kooks long tubes no cats
Stock Axel back
