Default HELP!!! Stroker noisy

Hey,
We got a 6.0 iron block 415 stroker from Schwanke. We re-used the head / cam from the 5.7 (Patriot heads and a 588 / 224 cam). Were looking for a quiet daily driver.
Here is the issue, start the car and it sounds fine, drive it say 2-3 minutes and suddenly it sounds like the motor is rapping (Oil preasure stays put at like 75 PSI) Drive like 1 more minute and noise DISAPPEARS! I mean drive it another 100 miles and it is silent and smooth. The noise won't come back until the motor is completely cooled and re-started, then the same thing over again. We have checked a few things, but I would rather not cloud your opinions at all. So please...let them fly.
Thanks!

Sound like a lifter? Have you isolated the area the noise is coming from?

Maybe a lifter, however they are all new, The noise can be heard loud in the car, it is much quieter under the hood, but slightly louder underneath the car. It is loudest inside. It is hard to pinpoint, it stops almost as fast as it starts

Perhaps check the windage tray to be sure the stroker crank counterweights arent grazing it?

Maybe an exhaust leak that quiets down after things are all heated up? Could be a very small leak. Thermal expansion.

+1 on piston slap... Is this a forged setup? 2618 pistons will slap until they heat up and expand in the bore. This is perfectly normal. One way to cure piston slap is to have an offset pin bore in the piston...

Glad you found it. Make sure to torque it again just to make sure it stayed tight. Thoe F-body pans get really close in the front.

Put it sll back together and its no different,I thought for sure that was it. A local engine builder thinks its a tight wrist pin, making a piston slap exssively then the piston expands and stays quiet, ?? I dont know,I think ill park it before i drive it off a cliff LOL
