Atleast you have a lot more room in that 5th gen to remove that motor from the top.

Looks like it will be a lot of fun.

Yes having a little disposable money helps. No kids yet. Haha! I figured I'd build my dream car while I am still young enough to enjoy it.

Mark:

Your ride sounds like it will be a blast to drive. I am doing a similar engine build for a G8 and I am curious as to the compresssion ratio you are gettting and which Wiseco piston you are using.

Thanks

I kept my compression ratio ~11.15:1 because I want it to be very streetable and because I will be running a 200 progressive shot on it. I am not sure the exact piston without looking at the box. It is their new coated pistons. Piston choices a very limited for the ls7442 builds unless you go custom.

Matt:

Thanks for the feedback on the pistons you are using. If you happen to see the box and remember the part number, I would lke to get it from you. When I look at the Wiseco catalog for the 4.1 and 4.125 stoke pistons with the 4.125 bore, (assuming the 70cc combustin chambers), I only see choices for 12.2 and 10.0 compression ratios. I would like to get the 11.1 or so that you are getting.
