I'm not one of the cam gods or even a guru but something about a 224/230 or 228/232 would be good with a converter & headers. Mines is close to the second one and on a 112+4 it does alright for what it is. I drive it every day all year too. Best mods for mine was the built trans & converter but the cam was good too. There are a few companies out there with custom ground cams for the TBSS.

226/230 .598/.600" 113LSA +2 advance using Endurance lobes from Engine Power Systems. You can use a quality beehive like a PAC 1518 or a Comp 26918 along with a 7.425" pushrod. This is just about perfect for a daily driven TBSS that wants to lay down some good ETs while still getting good fuel economy and excellent street manners. You'll need the stall and headers for sure though.

I've been wondering the same thing Rob. I'll be swapping my Speed Inc SI5 231/237 .589/.595 112lsa out of my camaro sometime next winter and have been wondering if it would work well with my tbss or if it would even work with an LS2. I'm not familiar with the differences between LS1 and LS2 style cams.

I have run the SI5 in a TBSS. Full weight awd truck with a vig 2800 stall, headers, corsa sport went 12.8 then added 100 shot when 11.7 Cant deny at the track went well just seemed to lack torque on the street. Have played around with a few other grinds now and even what I would consider DD type cams even for cold IL weather, seen north of 600whp on a 2wd truck with less than 150shot
