My VA Speed Engine Build

Car drives straight and no drama at all. Only safety concern I have is brakes. On the skinnies at 137 it takes a bit to stop.

At least at Crandall you have plenty of rundown to not have to get on the brakes too hard with the skinnies. So, did Crandall say no 9's without a cage to you because they have not said anything up to that point? I figured since everyone was running under 11.50 without a rollbar, they were just going to let everything slide.
If you do your glory run down at the Motorplex, make sure you know who you are running against to grab a copy of their slip. A buddy in his Z06 (no cage) busted off a 10.3x a while back at the Motorplex, and the older lady in the booth ripped up his slip and sent him back to tech...which he did not go to as he knew he was done for the night with them.
Good luck with the car this summer. Dave

I think they are more strict on the mph. I remember them telling me a year or so ago that if I hit 135+ I would need a cage. They didn't say anything to me until I hit 137. That's the first time I've gone faster than 135.
My buddy in his vette went 9.74 with a cage but still not a legal cage. They didn't say anything to him but it didn't display or print his mph so I think that's why. They are real nice and they know my car so I'm hoping next time I go out they'll be lenient but we'll see. I may have to dial it in somewhere like Denton and then just go for the all out at Crandall. Good idea on the buddy slip though.

I was on motor only. No nitrous.
Mach1 has an 03 cobra blower and bolt ons 490whp
C6 (Camera car) is cammed/exhaust 490whp
This motor you built sure is fun.
