If it's down on the motor, it'll be down on the jug too.
Sounds good. Maybe next weekend we can hook up. Gotta spend some time with the fam for a bit. I'll send you the current tune and the logs from the track to see what you think.

Not so much man. I don't have any plans to put a cage in this car. I still owe 21k on it and cutting it all up to install a cage is not in the cards. I may just have to get it all dialed in and running 100%. Run motor all night. Then make that one glory pass on nitrous on the last pass to get my slip

Car drives straight and no drama at all. Only safety concern I have is brakes. On the skinnies at 137 it takes a bit to stop.

Nice!

At least at Crandall you have plenty of rundown to not have to get on the brakes too hard with the skinnies. So, did Crandall say no 9's without a cage to you because they have not said anything up to that point? I figured since everyone was running under 11.50 without a rollbar, they were just going to let everything slide.

If you do your glory run down at the Motorplex, make sure you know who you are running against to grab a copy of their slip. A buddy in his Z06 (no cage) busted off a 10.3x a while back at the Motorplex, and the older lady in the booth ripped up his slip and sent him back to tech...which he did not go to as he knew he was done for the night with them.

Good luck with the car this summer. Dave

I think they are more strict on the mph. I remember them telling me a year or so ago that if I hit 135+ I would need a cage. They didn't say anything to me until I hit 137. That's the first time I've gone faster than 135.
My buddy in his vette went 9.74 with a cage but still not a legal cage. They didn't say anything to him but it didn't display or print his mph so I think that's why. They are real nice and they know my car so I'm hoping next time I go out they'll be lenient but we'll see. I may have to dial it in somewhere like Denton and then just go for the all out at Crandall. Good idea on the buddy slip though.

Try putting "N/T" on the window for "no time" shown on the boards...they might not be so hard if the world doesn't see it. Take care. Dave

That lady is a B at Ennis, I know N/T doesn't get you anywhere there...don't know about at Crandall, but this is the first I've heard of them actually enforcing any kind of rules. Congrats Joe, especially considering the weather conditions!

Thanks. Goal is 10.20s by November. Considering swapping stalls but I can't make up my mind. I'm also going to shave another 40lbs before the next track visit. The next time at the track should be interesting.

This motor you built sure is fun.
