09 G8 GT bank 1 and 2 code violations (after kooks install)
Wow, havent been here in a while.. not since I sold the old LS1.
getting the same codes on the new g8 about the rear o2 sensors that we used to clear with sims. I thought the same would be true with the g8 but I just found out that sims were outlawed.(local shop told me). Now the wife and I are starting to get back into modding and need a way to clear these damn codes. I asked the shop what they would charge to just hop into the computer and turn them off and tell it to ignore the rear 02's and he wanted to charge me 360 bucks. I asked what the price for a dyno tune was and he quoted the same. Problem is, I hear dyno tunes void the warranty which we dont want to do.
any recomendations? Any way to make my own o2 sim? or will the old ones that are still floating around work on the new gen IV?

Old ones will work, but the plugs are different if I remember correctly. You may have to splice the new connectors with the old simulator.
