Default Can I run a LS3 with LS2 harness and PCM?

Ok here is the situation. I cracked the block on my new LS2 and I have a chance to pick up an LS3 from a 2010 Camaro SS. The harness I'm using is the GMPP Engine controller kit made for a 58x LS2. I honestly don't see why it wont work but there is talk about the 2009 and up LS3 engines having different throttle bodies that open the other direction causing the TPS sensors to flip out. Will this work with my setup? Thanks for any feed back guys.

If you're worried about the throttle body, just run an LS2 TB. It'll bolt right up to an LS3 intake.

Hopefully it is that simple! Do you guys see anything else that might be incompatible?

Later LS3 tb's are different than earlier one's or LS2's.

MAP sensor is different and the oil pressure sensor is different. You can swap the pressure sensor over but the MAP is bolt in on LS3 vs clip in on LS2 so you will need an adaptor harness and should really get the MAP area retuned in the ECM.

Have run LS3 TB's on earlier controllers and vice versa and they work ok...mostly...but not always which is why the earlier type is preferred. And it is not just whether they pop faults or not (and it appears HPT has included the ability to adjust the error % on the throttle now) it is also that they require a different calibration for idle/low speed air flow so they idle nicely.
