Default SBF torque plate

Been alot of talk about SBF torque plate on LS block.

We installed a 4.200" SBF torque plate to a 6.0 LQ9 block, no modification needed to the torque plate at all.

it does work, its not centered over the bore, however not all combustion chambers are either. It should work up to 4.125", its kind of thin at 9 o'clock position on the bore.

We have 2 LS plates already, no reason to use SBF plate on LS.

heres the results

Its been common knowledge for awhile now that the LS style head has ALOT in common with a SBF head.

You must have missed the previous thread that debated this. The LSx and the SBF have a different bore spacing, so there was some speculation as to whether or not a SBF torque plate would fit or not.

^ I've heard that it has, but never seen someone actually prove it.

Yep - I use a SBF plate on one deck and the LS plate on the other.
