Default RHS LS7 Engine Build
Just started building a LS7 for my Z06. This will be primarily for the track. (Road Course)

RHS Block
Callies Crank with 2" Journals drilled for a ZR1 clutch assembly
LSX-LS7 Heads
ARP Head Studs
Manley Rods
Mahle Pro Series Pistons
LSX 102 Intake

Still have not finalized my cam selection yet.

Check the bolt pattern on the crank. I ordered the same thing and it came with an 8 bolt pattern. Arrrrrgggh, they ended up getting me a 6 bolt and I used an aftermarket flywheel with the ZR1 pressure plate.

Thanks. I followed your build and caught the problem before my crank was built. I'll be getting the proper 9 bolt stock ZR1 flange pattern. How do you like the clutch in your car?

I love it, it's the best clutch I've ever felt. I haven't beat on the car yet, except for some 160 mph runs, but it seems to hold the power no problem.

2.200" Titanium Intake

I believe this is the same as a stock LS7.

This casting takes advantage of the extra head bolt pattern in the RHS block. the casting is also stronger. It has room for porting, but I don't see a lot of horsepower gains on this size engine with say a torquer type cam with a redline of @ 7000 rpm.

They cost me @ $1200.00 each

what is also nice about these heads that are most of the company that offer a cnc porting program for the OE ls7's will most likely work for the gm performance ls7 heads

I agree .... I may try and have them CNC ported at some time in the future.

My RHS block just arrived.. it's a beautiful piece!

Sounds like a killer build.. I will be doing a 460 with mine (4.155/4.250)
