TF 235s are a great head but replacing a set of nice L92s with them is silliness.

The l92 head is cheap to build and makes good power. People get wowed by the flow numbers. I still will spend the money on a better aftermarket head Over a stock ported head any day. I'm sure these heads will be pretty stout when on the market. I've been down this road before with my car, stock ported vs aftermarket afr's. Also redcorvette, most don't cam the l92 heads right and my bud in his 01 camaro w/ 383ci stock tfs 215 heads and a non ported fast made 500 hp on the same dyno i made 530hp on and he out pulls me by 2 full cars from a 4th gear roll starting at 70mph to 130mph.we both have m6,same size tires and 4.11 gears. All the top sponsors i talked with including vengeance told me it's because of the trick flow heads with the better design and speed which the air flows accelorates his car faster. Just my thoughts.
BLU BY U-well said my friend.
Yeah i guess its all what your trying to do....At the time i was just looking for peak horsepower and Ron did a pretty good job....Fast 500 rwhp and the driveability is amazing so i cant complain....Knowing what i know now, i would most likely go with those heads...I wont get around to messing with that car until the new heads come out so it works out good...

From 2000 - 4000 rpms, TFS 235 makes more power than ported L92s, but after 4000 rpms, the L92s runs off from the TFS 235s."

The tfs flow head are built alot better then stock heads.
The max hp numbers being a little less then the l92 are more likely from intake manifold holding it back then the heads and we are not talking about comparing ported l92 heads vs TFS. he has stock ones now not ported

And Peak hp doesnt mean the fastest it the most avg hp though the RPM range that wins

here one with 570hp with a TFS heads and a older fast https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamomet...-tfs-235s.html So im pretty sure it can get pass the 500 mark. also look around there a few 600hp out there

Plus there more intakes out there for the TFS as of now, but either way all these heads flow way more then the stock style intake can handle. I think it was TEA that did a 650+ hp something carb intake or was a ITB

I just cant see putting money into weak stock casting to gain a little more peak hp maybe plus the resale value of TFS will be better

If ported LS3 heads are better than a set of TFS225/235s with a ported 92mm FAST...then why arent more people running ported LS3 heads on the LS3 strokers 416, 418, 427 etc? I see tons of people running TFS 235s on the LS3 strokers and making big power, 540rwhp+

the thing i don't like about my ls3 headson my ls3 is that you can not run a big *** cam!!! because it will not help you with power!! i love a big cam and i have lg g6x3 cam now and its just not enough to make me happy.

ive been wondering this my self as i have a 2000 t/a m6 with a l92 in it but i swapped over all my old ls1 stuff...fast 92, tsp 5.3 heads pacesetter headers 235/243 eps cam specd by pat g ,stock maf ,mail order tune for now and it put down 445 408 on a mustang dyno and gets me near 123 traps with a 3700 pound race weight. it should be even better with a tune and a 100mm maf. but ive allways wondered wat a aftermarket casted head...prc 227/237 tfs 225/235 would do for this thing. i think it would be a better option then an ls3 head in my case since i allready have the intake
