Respringing an L92 cam phaser

Anyone know the correct process to respring a cam phaser? I had one spin on me while putting in a comp cam phase limiter.

I saw someone complain of this once before. Apparently it doesn't come un sprung if you install the kit properly. Anyways this guy gave up and had to buy a new one.
