On the assembled head you are right, but on the bare, they do not have the PN updated and I am sure, once they do, they will be alot more than that. The new pn for the bare head is 12629051. They do not have that up yet or the old PN 12615361 updated to that yet.

We'll find out, I had actually purchased the Pace set not an hour before that post was up. I will probably be calling you guys for rocker arms though, should have just tagged them on with the LS6 crate I ordered on Tuesday

You're right, pricing did change. Bare heads are now up to 309 from Pace. Because I bought at the advertised lower price they worked with me...didn't match it, but they were fair to say the least. Had they not, I'd have just canceled and gone back to you guys though

I would venture to guess Pace's website is changing soon

I had a couple people on from ERL tell me that the l92 head was a weak casting and not to use if for boost, has anyone else heard this?

There is alot of controversy out about this. There are people that have had good luck, and some not so much.

I have seen them work well for moderate boost up to 10#. But I am unsure as to any more than that. I am sure that people are running them, but we do not have any documented cases of them.

Well dang it. Guess I should've jumped on those bare LS3 castings when I had the chance. LOL!!!

So what's this weakness in the L92 head? Does that same alleged weakness appear in LS3 castings?
If it's just because they're 4-bolt heads, there are often overlooked ways in dealing with that that are cheaper than a new set of aftermarket heads.

The LS3 style head is also avail in the 6 bolt casting, but is not as inexpensive.

getting the heads and installing them is the easy part.
getting the cam spec's for them are a pain in the rear, specially if your going to use them on a stock 6.0L.

I have paid two supporting sponsors here to spec me out a cam and have gotten two conflicting spec's....

I have spent almost a 1/4 of the way to a new cam just on advice alone. lol

If the vendors have dealt with any amount of combos, they should have something of the more "generic" variety for you. Not meaning that they are some off the shelf grind from any cam company, but that they are made specifically for them for use in certain setups. We have quite a few that work VERY well in your setup. As a matter of fact, one of them with LS3 as cast heads, the GMPP carb intake and this cam made 540 on a somewhat stingy engine dyno in Canada. I am waiting on the dyno sheet from it, but that is some STELLAR power. It was a stock bottom end LQ9.

can you still buy those complete LS3 heads w/ the yellow springs for cheap?
What is the current price on a set of complete heads and the L76 intake /throttle body/39lb inj. I have an LS2 out of an 06' GTO going in a 91RS Camaro, With longtubes and a decent cam and a good tune with that package, what can I expect for power #'s to the rear tire through a 4l65e?

Just want to do it right the first time and not waste $$$

Will you be using a cable driven TB or a drive by wire TB?

The LS3 heads are $375 assembled a piece. They come with the yellow springs. No rockers, no rails, no bolts, no gaskets.

GMPP has the LS3 intake like what you are looking for for $675 and it includes the gaskets, bolts, fuel rail, and stock injectors, along with LS3 DBW TB. We carry that as well.

I am wanting to buy a set of LS3 heads and use a cable driven throttle body... I have been told the throttle body selection is limited....can you tell me what are my options?

Do you have a price for the LS3s assembled minus springs since I will be using mine that are speced for my cam....

Thanks
Matt

The price for the stock as cast LS3 head is the same price with or without springs (LS6) because they are dirt cheap to begin with. $375 per head. CNC, we do sell them bare or assembled with stock valves and springs. Again, the springs included in the head as a kit do not take off any value when taken off the head, so they are the same price as well. $1295 assembled. Or for bare cnc heads, they are $1k.

How much would you est. for complete ls3 heads with spring good for .650 lift.
also for rockers, stand, and pushrods? Been looking around to do this swap on my lq4.

Thanks.
