GM High Tech Performance Magazine has been building a LSX 451 for the past few months, in a future issue they will be putting it on the dyno and seeing the fruits of their labor.

Here is a link on their LSX 451ci progress.

I was looking into doing a 454, but I am gonna end up going 451 with a rhs block, 4.155 bore and a 4.150 stroke, It will actually be 450. I am still in the planning stages though.

It's just about what bore and stroke, more stroke helps with getting more torque and more bore helps get more horsepower, then there are limitations to stroke and/or bore depending on the block you use. One block may let you use more stroke while another may allow for more bore. For me in the rhs block I cant go more than 4.165 bore, I'm going 4.155 to not max out the block, I also want just a little more bore than stroke, hence the slightly smaller stroke. I have also noticed that most people with force induction usually run a much smaller crank than bore, not quite sure as to why, I am guessing it may help to spin the motor faster, but I am not sure on that.

Talk to a reputable builder, when I first starting looking at a 427/440 I talked with AES and when I was considering going with more stroke they advised me against using the LS3 block because of its shorter sleeves.
Should be hearing the results soon.
