Default LS3 427 build

Hey guys in the next couple of weeks I will have this LS3 427 build dropped in my CETA along with a stage 2 4L60E. This is the build on the engine. Tell me what u guys think.


Callies 4.100 Comp star crank 24x wheel
Callies 6.125 H beam rod
Forged manley 2618 pistons with coated skirts
ackerly and childs file fit rings
Clevite H series bearings
LS3 block
Custom comp cam - specs - 13019/13021 113+1
GMPP LS3 intake - fuel rails fuel injectors
SD8801 - CNC LS3 heads with manely stainless valves and patriot xtreme springs
GM MLS head gaskets
ARP head studs
JP perf 1x timing set
LS6 oil pump
F body oil pan kit
Caspers cam/knock sensor harness
Caspers LS3 inj conn harnesses
Joe Gibbs Driven Break in oil
LS2 frton cover
LS2 valley cover
New rear cover
New GM coils
New gm valvecovers
TR6 plugs
GMPP plug wires
All GM sensors

i take that as a compliment. so im guessing this is a good build? i wish i know how much hp/tq this will make.

Ok a LS2 timing chain damper? I ask john from SDPC cause he got this build together for me. what does it do?

This build is based off of the mast motorsports LS3 427 SS crate. So just about everything should be the same. SDPC said they can do a similar build but cheaper so I went with them. I should get the motor in about 2 weeks.

That build appears to be a great start to your reciprocating mods. Just with the engine displacement I can imagine you're gonna sound off lots of car alarms if you stay with that LM1.

Yea I thought so too. I kind of hoping my current rear end hold up. I see alot of guys go into 10's with the 10 bolt but we will see. If it don't hold up then i be ready to get a 12 bolt or 9 fab.

whats the cost of this build?? Im looking to get an LS3 in my 98, but I don't know if I wanna buy a crate or have one built.
