You are tricky aren't you!

Is the LSA mostly stock?

How much power do you think the 4L80 is eating up?

These engines will not readily drop into anything without adding/removing some parts.

The Crankshaft has an 8 bolt flange.
The intake ports/exhaust ports are LS7 style.
The harmonic balancer is corvette/ctsv/g8 style.
There is no oil pan.
There are no provisions for the ign coils to mount to the valve covers.

So lets say you were to try and put this into a 4th gen f body. You would need the following:
1. your oil pan, pickup tube, windage tray, dipstick, tube plus a new pickup tube o ring and oil pan gasket
2. LS7 carb or efi style manifold. With that add on injectors and or injector harness adapters and a TB, elbow etc for the intake
3. remote coil locators
4. 8 bolt flexplate and or flywheel
5. LS2 cam and knock sensor extension harness
6. LS7 style headers with ls7 flange (not uncommon)
7. reuse your accessories including balancer (meaning new crank bolt and wp gaksets as well)
8. 58x-24x conversion box
9. make your own pcv system
10. tune

These engines are obviously made to go into something that does not come originally equipped with an LS engine really. Esp with they way they were going to be offered with the GMPP carb intake. But they can fit into any LS application as well.

John,

Are they (GM) going to offer a harness/ECM package like their regular crate motors?

thanks,

i saw this engine in a article (hot rod, car craft?) where they were swapping the different lsx motors out of 3400 pound chevelle. Didn't seem too impressive, for this much horsepower and I think 120-121 traps? seems to be low on MPH.

There is no package with the LSX454 engine because it does not come as complete as the others. You can use the LS7 engine controller on it as long as you use a DWB TB. Otherwise you are looking at a controller like the MSD6012.
