Hi Guys,

Just looking ahead, and thinking of fitting 2.08 intake valves in my Dart 225cc heads. They are 2.02 at present. While doing this i was going to port match my Kinsler ITBs, she i s smoking a little on overun on the rollers and think the valve guides may be past their best, as i know there may be some issues here with the Darts. Anyone done this mod on any other heads and what results did they get?

You'll need to get them valve jobbed for the bigger valve and the venturi ground to size. Im guessing its a 4.030 bore? Guides would need to be sized to the actual valves you will be using to get it right.

I had a set of Dart 205's that had 2.02 valves. I was under the impression that the 225's had 2.08 out of the box. Are you sure on the valve size?

Of course i would take the venturi out and blend the bowls, goes without saying, might take a bit more metal out around the valve guide area too.
