All it takes is for an agressive cam, with spring rates not quite high enough with a heavy valvetrain and you run the risk of valve float. Now it might not normally be an issue until you put in a cam that is tight on the piston to valve clearance.
Is LG to blame? Maybe, if they sold you the cam and spring package, then their liability would go up in my opinion. If you got the springs elsewhere and they just sold you the cam and said you'd be alright, then you're kind of left to make sure you're double checking everything.
i picked up a 08 ls7 427 for my camaro now and you bet your *** no lg cam is going in that thing!! i was going to take the cam to a cam doctor to get checked to see if its even the right grind but lg does not give out specs.
