I have the Superdeck 1 block.

ERL was great to deal with. They didn't act like the typical performance shop, and treated me like a CUSTOMER not a nuisance that was part of a captive audience. Very communicative and honest when there was a slight (and it was slight considering the performance world) delay from the initial date projection. Professional.

Erik built my longblock 468ci , using the ERL supderdeck (superdeck1 block), and he said ERL's machine work was top notch. One of the few places he gives that kind of credit to.

Now my ERL based HKE longblock is on it's way to Va Speed for a break in and tune on their engine dyno with a ported Harrop.

I've been dealing w/Va Speed for the last 8 mos and they have been the same as ERL. Responsive and communicative. I've only dealt with Ed so far. I haven't had the opportunity to deal with Shawn yet, but judging by his posts and my experience with Ed, I have no doubt he is straight up and would be great to deal with too. Judging by their performance results and customer feedback their quality and performance stands on it's own. I guess I'll find out in a week or 2 when I drive down to Va Speed to be present when the engine is on the dyno. It's been 10 long months!!

just wondering
The FAST has physical strength issues at higher boost levels, or at least so the better Vette FI shops believe. So I stuck with the stocker and had it ported by somebody good, with instructions to preserve the physical strength.

This is typical of what I meant by a "conservative" build. OEM or OEM-style parts were used in all cases except where there was a good reason to change them. The engine builder, who usually deals with more exotic builds, commented on how easily it all went together. Just bolted right up, he said. Just what I had in mind.

Have you considered the HOB cog system. Looks promising.... love the build and engine room.

I am guessing this is the engine that now has those WCCH heads on them that you posted about a while ago.

Yes, that's right. The engine is now in the car, I expect the fuel system was installed this week (requires dropping the driver's-side tank in my case), and we're waiting on a custom inlet tube and stronger driveline parts.

Be great with a FAST 102 with REMOVED runners. I don't think you'd have any problems boosting it. Burst pressure is something like 70psi.

Default New pics of progress

We're gettin' there.

These are just "in progress" pictures. Everything will be prettied up before it's done.

Here are some pics of the RPS BC3 clutch, and the Quick Time SFI bellhousing.

It has the factory A/C setup. The compressor is mounted low on a Vette.
