I actually know this cause I was thinking of dropping an Lq9 into my Camaro. No, 2007 Cadillac Escalades did not come with the Iron block 6.0L LQ9 they came with the aluminum 6.2L L92 they are similar externally but not the same when you take a closer look. Hope this helps.

Thanks Joey--- I thought the same thing. I just bought one and the guy said it was from a 2007 escalade. It has the 317 heads. It is at my buddys house as I have not had time to pick it up as I am about 350 miles away. I am a little concerned as to what it came out of now. Was hoping I hadnt been had and they put LQ9's in some of the first 2007 Escalades.

Thanks I know its not an 6.2. They have the L92 heads and these are the 317's. So I have an Lq9 or possibly a LQ4. When I go pick it up I will pull a plug and see if it has flat tops or dish pistons. Now I am unsure if the mileage he told me it had is correct or not. Im a trusting guy so hope its a LQ9 and low mileage. I jumped into this deal without alot of knowledge of LS motors but this site is a good learning tool.
