Remove the engine in C6 to change the cam?

idk.. on my c4 there was a cross brace and the radiator in the way, but you could move those and not worry about the hood struts/etc.
might get more info in the vehicle specific vs the engine specific, but only time will tell..

Yes, you need to remove the rack.. rad, and condensor and so forth... Its not an easy task.. so depending on how shadetree you are you might want someone else to tackle this..

Thanks. I am getting a mechanic to do it but they said they were gonna have to remove the engine, and I told them that wasn't necessary. Just wanted to confirm. Thanks

If a shop tells you that, you should be looking for a new shop. Yhe only extra step you have to take is removing the Steering rack and Sway bar. Enerything else is just like a cam swap on an F-Body.
