LS7 mod question Ok guys A friend of mine is putting togather a LS7 motor. He works at a dealership. The car came in with a spun rod. So he was able to pick up the old motor, at a reasonable price. He is looking to put a cam, headers, maybe a intake and TB on the motor. Can anyone recommend a good proven set up? What cam would you use, what intake, And would you even need a TB? also have you tried the set up you would recommend? If so what kind of pwer did it make?
Custom spec cam, big intake and headers, gotta let that motor breathe. A cam only LS7 is pretty quick on the streets. I have lost to a H/C LS7 ZO6 in my nitrous H/C car. They roll hard.
We have several cams for the LS7 that have been proven for excellent drivability and other with big torque and power. All of them kick *** at the track. Have him give us a call and we can point him in the right direction and get him setup.
