370 Build Questions
LS2 Block bored .020 over being built for some boost.
Since the block was bored .020 over and I haven't seen a .020 over gasket, will a .030 over gasket suffice?
Need a little insight on which main and rod bearings to go with.
Trying to get down to a 9:1 compression ratio and need a little advice. Here is what a compression ratio calculator is telling me.
Cylinder bore size: 4.020
Piston stroke length: 3.622
Head gasket bore diameter: 4.030
Compressed head gasket thickness: .021? (I don't konw what to put for that)
Combustion Chamber: 64cc
Piston dish volume: -12cc
Piston to deck clearance: 0? (I don't know for this either)
Calculated CR = 10.3:1
I appreciate the help fellas.

.010" is the limit of what you want to bore out even though .030" is "possible". Kinda like with the LQ9 blocks where .030" over is fine but anything passed that isn't safe for FI despite the fact that it's possible to bore them out .100" and run NA

.020" or .030" is fine in LS2 block
Reman replacement LS2 longblocks from GM are 4.020" bore size.
I'm running my own LS2 boost build with 4.030" bores
If you're using stock crankshaft, use clevite MS2199P, CB663P rod bearings.
Forged aftermarket crankshaft use MS2199H, CB663VN bearings.
Head Gaskets, you can put LS9 gaskets on it, they have a 4.100" gasket bore and .055" thickness. Part number 12622033
