Default Tach inop LS1 to LS2

I tried swapping wires on my harness extension but Im still having no tach output. First, I tried the following extension harness pin swaps:
A=red red pink pink brown brown
B=pink - brown - brown - red - red - pink
C=brown pink red brown pink red

The tach worked for a second once and then quit

I ohm'd the harness to check for open circuits from the connector at the cam
to the connector that plugs to the original harness and got about .7 ohms.

I checked the voltage at the harness down at the cam sensor with the key on and had 10.96 vdc

I also checked from the 10.96 vdc to the signal and ground wires and got close to the the same voltage readings...within 1/4 volt

I also ohm'd the cam sensor. Its off white if that means anything instead of black like others I've seen . Anyway, the inside of the sensor is marked:

+ - o

resistance is 15.3megs for + to - and - to o
between + and o it reads 5.1k ohms

I looked at the pics I took of the motor again and it DOES have the 1X cam gear for the 2002 pcm

The engine has just a few minutes of run time. Havent had my tuner hook up HP Tuners yet.

My main question is if there are different cam sensors for the 05 and the 06 up LS2's? And if so, how are they identified?

Default

Found that there's only one type of cam sensor here:

Guess I"ll check all the wiring again.
