Default VVT cam against a Larger non VVT cam

I know the benefits of the VVT cam but the VVT has size limitations. Also I do not feel safe on the installation of a VVT cam along with a cam phaser. How much more power can be made (if any) running a larger cam on an L92 with longtubes and pulley than the largest VVT cam.

If you upgrade your pistons you can put in any size VVT cam you wish. I dont see what makes you uncomfotable, OEM vehicles run VVT cams and cam phasers all the time. Heck almost every 2010+ GM truck/SUV has VVT.

Uppgrading pistons is not an option for me.

Any other thoughts on a Cam only application? I am trying not to spend money on new Heads.

Basicly looking for the Max power lost on a VVT cam compared to a non-VVT larger cam. I understand that the VVT cam will have more overall power to a non-VVT cam sizes being the same.

Is that simply for clearance purposes? I thought the oem lifters were the issue. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Its only AFM lifters are an issue which have nothing to do with VVT. Stock 4.8 and most 6.2's only have VVT not AFM so they use the same LS7 lifter as other non VVT engines.

Vvt doesn't have a size limitation, to some extent afm does, but vvt can do awesome things! Checkout my dyno sheet from our vvt3 cam, it made 100 flywheel hp on my engine dyno test l99!

Don't you also send the timing tables as well to help get the tune just right?

I was on your sight and it had VVT cam 1, 2, 3. Can you expand on this? How much converter is needed for each? How much of a power difference between the three different cams?
