That's not a very good cam for the composite intake at all. I would almost bet you could make more power/better power with a cam 15-20 degrees smaller. There's more to making power than mixing parts.

Good luck.

I agree with Kevin. You really need to decide do you want a true race car or a strip -street car. Your really making decent power now. The problem with these heads is the limited intake slection. The good thing about them are they make power with small cams. I think you are going in the wrong direction. Fine tune what you have. Kevin made good power with a Fast 102. The cam selection for these heads is critical.

Yes i truthfully agree it really is a limiting factor with the heads at this point in time. Unfortunately the top end is the un-touched portion of this combination an i'm stuck with a tough decision on which way to go with making more power? The way i see things is with my cubic inch only being a 408 vs say like a 427+ the only way to make more power N/A before it see's a monster power adder is to rev it to a higher RPM to achieve the same results as a big cubic inch motor revving lower rpm to make similar numbers. I think with the camshaft only being a midrange to top end camshaft that the victor junior is really gonna be my best bet based on the camshaft, but i have so many other questions an discussions to be had before i make up my mind on whats gonna be the hardest hitter on the street for 2011.

I am looking to build up my turbo setup to rev to 7300-7500. I will be running the mile with a 6l80e and being able to rev to that rpm will give me 200+mph in 4th gear and can still pull 5th. I was planning on just running a stock LS3 intake, as my setup is in a c6 and do not want to change hoods for the clearance of a single plane. From what I am reading in this the Ls3 intake might not be able to handle 7300+rpm while making in excess of 1000rwhp. Opinions, Ideas, Recomendations?

Thanks and I do agree LME is a great engine builder. But since I already have a engine builder I really wouldnt feel right ask them for their advice and opinion on parts and then end up going somewhere else to have it done. Leaning towards ERL SD1 and good forged rotating assembly, GM LSX-LS9 6 bolt heads that have Ti intake valves and hollow steel exhaust valves, I have Texas Speed Precision Race Components Double Springs Rated To .650" Lift Titanium Retainers. Mainly just looking to see if the Stock LS3 intake is capable of supporting 1500hp. And looking for a camshaft design that is good for a power range of 4000/4500-7500.

Spun mine between 8000 and 8500 about 110 to 114 times down the track this season alone. Solid cam. T&D shaft rockers. Buy good stuff, get good results. Billy Briggs build motor.

That must be one of carry's intakes on that bitch... Ahhhh... Yeah not sure on that man prolly will fall off hard about 6500 an thats why i'm leaning strongly towards the vic junior... high rpm's can't really live with enough air from that plastic ****... lol or say they say, but alot of people say it though.

I also have the hollow stem titanium valves to keep the weight down on them so i could rev where the cam makes most of it's power at. What rockers, oil pump an lifters to do? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LARsdGrQLxU
