Default Thinking about stroker engine. HELP!!

Well I am currently trying to finish up my truck with the 5.3 in it to get the suspension set up and get it working on the track. This summer I would like to have the new engine done for it and I am looking for some opinions.

I am wanting to build something around a 414 to 427 but am not sure of what seems to be the most effieceint bore and stroke combination on these. This is going to be a N/A motor with a vic jr and dominator style throttle body (4bbl) with worked 243's, at least a 2.02 if not a 2.05 intake valve (not sure how big or what works the best with these yet, still have more research to do) and a 1.6 exhaust. I am unsure of the cam yet because I have yet to determine the rest of my build. Honestly I will prolly just call cammotion and have one ground when its all said and done.

This is all going in a 01 GMC Sierra RCSB, with a TH400, 4200 converter, 4.56 gears and detroit tru trac. I am wanting to make a minimum of 600 RWHP with this set up N/A. I have been looking at the TSP aluminum 414 with the dome piston as I would like this thing to have a very minimum of 12:1. But as I mentioned before I am not sure if that is going to be the HP maker as far as Bore and stroke combos.

Any help or advise you guys can give me from personal experiances I would greatly appreciate. Just looking to make this truck move!!!

Take a look at the shortblocks in my sig, I think one of our 415's, either iron or aluminum, would be just what you are looking to get. We have been seeing these engines putting down well over 600hp to the wheels with untouched LS3 heads!!!

GIve us a call if you are interested.

Build the biggest engine that you can afford. Use an Iron block if you are giong to boost it, aluminum if staying NA. The down side to the alum. blocks are having to sleeve them for rebuilds. 600 rwhp is alot for a 414-416.

is this n/a? and this is to the rear wheels? that would have to be the most powerful n/a 415 with ls3 heads ever.

What internals do you use in your short blocks?

I agree about the 600 rwhp for a 416 with LS3 heads. I haven't seen one yet.

Not going to happen without a carb/sheetmetal manifold. Probably not the hot setup for a heavy vehicle.

Eagle Rods and crank, Mahle Pistons

Yes, it is to the wheels, it is in a car with a 3 speed jericho trans and a quick change rear end running methanol. It made 595rwhp on 110 sunoco.

I will try to get a dyno graph up today.

If 600 n/a is your target, the Compstar LSc rotator is the ticket, and will save you some cash!
