Default what should I pay Ls2 block?

I have a lot of time and wait for a good deal but what is a good deal on a used LS2 block?

I am getting one with heads for 700 with a spin bearing... I think its a good deal but I have heard people pay 700 as a bare block.

Depends on exactly how much you need with the block. Are we talking shortblock? Longblock? Complete engine? I have seen complete engines go for 3k+ used with 50k. LS2s are harder to come by then LS1s.

I was thinking short forged block or bare block. Why is it a darton sleeved monster? Aren't all ls engines monsters with darton sleeves?

Brand new block-only 1100
I've seen a low mile short block go for 4 1500 around here-on the one time rare occasion I've seen one CL.

There are some great deals out there. Try looking in the classified ads on this site. I purchased a BRAND NEW one for 800 bucks from a ls1tech member, found in the classifieds.
