Default LS2 intake on a LS1

Is there any reason that people are staying away from using the LS2 intake? I can find them pretty cheap compared to the FAST intakes, the LS2 will accecpt a 90mm TB. Down fall is the MAP would have to be relocated. I have seen threads on here back from 04 that people have done it.

Why arent more people using the LS2 intakes?

If you have a gen III just use a ported ls6? The ls2 intake is one of the worst flowing LS series intakes from what I've read. Other than the 90mm snout, there's nothing else good about it. Plus I THINK you have to relocate the map with the LS2 intake.

LS2 intake flows for junk. When they're HEAVILY ported they are ok...but you have the option for using an LS6 intake and they can be found all day long for 300-350 bucks.

They don't flow enough to make it worth relocating the MAP sensor and having to fab or buy a throttle cable bracket mount. Go with an LS6 or save your money for a FAST.
